The world is drowning in plastic – a flood that is polluting our environment and damaging our health. This is precisely where GreenCheck has found its place. with our innovative test technology, we replace plastic with sustainable pulp (cardboard). Our tests are not only environmentally friendly; they are also as efficient and safe as conventional products.

Every year, millions of plastic packaging from the medical industry end up in the rubbish – and when incinerated, they release harmful chemicals and toxic gases that pollute our air and our climate. As if that were not enough, a significant portion of this plastic waste finds its way into the oceans, where it poses a deadly threat to marine life.

Many swallowing the plastic or becoming entangled in it, dye an agonizing death. Microplastics also enter our food chain – and ultimately harm the health of millions. GreenCheck is rethinking the way we test.

A world without plastic starts with a small test

Plastic is one of the biggest challenges of our time. It pollutes our oceans, endangers animals and has long-term effects on our environment. But the future could be different – and it all begins with smallest changes. Greencheck offers a solution.

Why GreenCheck?

We are driven by sustainability. We have developed a system that significantly reduces plastic consumption. Our packaging is made of cellulose (cardboard) and does not contain unneeded plastic. Our unique packaging system replaces plastic with cellulose cardboards and by doing so minimizes the waste of plastic up to (70%) compared with the markets standards The European Environment Agency (EEA) confirms that reducing plastic in the medical industry is essential to minimizing the annual plastic waste of around 12 million tons (EEA, 2023).

The GreenCheck-Technology

A small idea with a big impact

GreenCheck has an innovative cellulose-based case (housing) that completely replaces plastic. Our tests are easy to useaccurate and environmentally friendly. By using renewable organic materials, we are sustainably reducing plastic waste.

GreenCheck can be used for all possible lateral flow tests (or LFTs), including pregnancy tests, virus tests and drug tests.

Each test kit is specially optimized for its application and meets the highest quality standards.

*Lateral flow tests (LFTs):rapid, easy-to-use diagnostic tests, often used to detect pathogens or biomarkers in fluids such as saliva, blood or urine.

GreenCheck sets new standards in diagnostics – environmentally friendly, safe and accurate. While conventional tests are sold in a completely plastic-based packaging, we have developed a patented solution: the GreenCheck packaging is made of sustainable pulp (cardboard) – plastic-free and resource-saving. The test itself remains of the same high quality, as precise and safe as before.

The innovative packaging technology of GreenCheck is a patented process that ensures safe storage and hygienic use of the tests. This protected technology is internationally registered and patented in several countries.

Visionary engineer

A graduate engineer, Christoph Protzek has many years of experience in diagnostics. Already in the 1980s, he developed a diagnostic device that made it possible to detect individual genetic diseases in embryos at an early stage by amniocentesis. His technical understanding and innovative spirit continue to contribute to the development of modern biotechnological processes in our company to this day.
